Legalization, Politics & Recession Proof Drug Testing Industry!

Rapid Drug Test Systems
Merry Christmas and prosperous new year, New York! New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced in a speech on December 17, 2018, that he would push for the legalization of recreational marijuana. This is all kinds of great financial news in my industry.

When I was growing up, I was told to go outside and find something recreational to do. Go for a walk, play ball, go swimming or skiing, cut the grass or shovel the snow as long as it is something legal. Soon we can consider recreation to be filling our lungs with Monsanto/Bayer-contaminated legal marijuana smoke. Growing it organically in the attic will still be illegal.

Six-year studies in Colorado have intersection fatalities up significantly. When the light turns green, you can count on a recreational smoker to be intrigued with the pretty yellow-turning-red light as he runs it and kills you. If they survive, they usually confess to not realizing it meant stop.

My DUI, DWI and impaired driving testing has been growing steadily and about to get a huge boost. Unlike alcohol which has been determined to have an impairment level at 0.80 in most states and 0.20 for federal public safety employees, marijuana has no established impairment designation. The average cost of DMV fines, treatment and drug testing is around $3,000. So save your money! While smoking marijuana will be legal, it can also be costly as your risks of becoming sick, injured and unemployed will increase. This is not my opinion. It is based on 35 years of experience in an industry that gets more predictable with time. Follow the money. Great news for new entrepreneurs in a growing, recession-proof and politic-proof industry. The 2009 & 2010 recession was remarkable in the drug testing industry and we're about to see that again. When the economy & markets are stable, employers manipulate drug testing to hire employees and grow. When the economy and markets get rattled, employers increase drug testing to get rid of employees while eliminating workers compensation and liability issues.

The drug testing industry is truly a secure win-win opportunity.
